On April 23, I visited Presenter Oliver Kruse-DoughertyfromRadio Tango
interviewed. We spoke about my inspirations and the CD Moving Friends.

A fascinating conversation about the mountain where the Daila Lama lived, which inspired me to continue the music study with piano as my main subject, why I like to compose waltzes, that birds also make music, the stairs of Palacio de Belmonte, what the Choclo prize for me and especially my inspiration behind the compositions on & #8220; Moving Friends & #8221 ;.

In the leading German Tango Magazine Tango Danza a wonderful review about my CD & #8220; Moving Friends & #8221; under the title & #8220; Wie Margreet MarkerinkFreunde moves & #8221;

& #8220; Damalswie heute überzeugt Margreet Markerinksgelungenes musikalisches Wechselspiel
zwischen Klavier und Bandoneon, with manchmal melancholic, und dann wieder
luftig-leichten, hör- und tanzbaren Liedern. & #8221;

& #8220; On her CD & #8216; MOVING FRIENDS & #8217; the renowned Dutch pianist and composer Margreet Markerink surprises us again with her talent. On her most recent CD she invites well-known Dutch musicians to play with her. Margreet had already shown in my previous broadcasts with Tangata and now she shows on & #8216; MOVING FRIENDS & #8217; us again her talent as a composer and pianist / performer of Tango music. & #8221;

This summer I traveled through Germany and France with my musical colleague friends, to perform at many beautiful locations.
GERMANY
I enjoyed the beautiful tour with Tangata & Jeannine Geerts in northern Germany,
The highlight is the concert in Hasselburg, (Schleswig Holstein Musik festival) but also on the Timmendorferstrand. A great & #8220; Treppenkonzert & #8221; at the Kellersee in Eutin and finally: Lübeck on a swinging tango dance evening.
FRANCE
It was fantastic to fly to Paris and meet my music colleague from the Hague string ensemble & Emmy Storms again in Trancault (close to Troyes). We have given concerts in the Cathedrale of Troyes and Nogins sur la Seine.
CASTELNAU DES FLEURMARCON
I spent the last week in Lagarde, southern France, in the impressive Castelnau des Fieumarcon, where I was invited to give a few solo concerts. Very special to also give musical performances together with the international guests and family of Frederic Coustols and Maria Mendonca. Armenian songs, French chansons, Portuguese children's songs,
and as the most special new adventure: performances with rapper Duarte (Duda Tranquilo).
View here a video with the youngest: Vicente, from Lisbon.

Full of inspiration and with new musical ideas I came back to the Netherlands
again with the awareness of how music connects people.

OBRIGADA!

That was enjoying me there, last night, in Haarlem, the concert of & #8216; Cuarteto Tangata & #8217; with extensions! Pianist Margreet Markerink presented her new CD & #8216; Moving Friends & #8217 ;, and turned it into a great and moving musical party with her friends.
Margreet Markerink, Jacqueline Edeling, Boris Franz, Andrea Bentivoglio, guest players Emmy Storms, Harriët Overbeek, and the singers Jeannine Geerts and Kees Scholten, they surprised me with every song and made me emotionally about such & #8217; n quality of playing, the repertoire , and the nice variety. I was also surprised to hear from singer Jeannine Geerts. That she has not yet taken a step in Buenos Aires, let alone that she has already sung there once, because if you did not know better, you would really think that she is an Argentinian diva on tour in Europe. They would lie there at her feet and not let her go.

If you have fun, you're crazy if you don't treat yourself and your friends to such a beautiful concert!

& #8220; It should finally come to an end; Buenos Aires. To meet the city, people and their music. That tango music that has turned my life upside down for so many years. Ever started out of curiosity & #8211; as a musician I have a broad interest in many music styles & #8211; this grew into a passion for life. And now along with bandoneonist Jacqueline Edeling en route to the maestro & #8217; s of tango music, packed and packed with good advice and the telephone numbers of Lydia Pugliese and Horacio Ferrer, among others. & #8217;
